CVS and Target have confirmed that the two companies have signed an agreement that could lead to a merger. Viatris Inc. is the new owners of Target, which is developing Viatris, a supplement company.
The deal could allow Target to focus on the erectile dysfunction treatment and Viatris’ joint venture with Target to make money and bring in new customers. The merger could also allow Viatris to focus on the erectile dysfunction treatment and the combination treatment.

The terms of the deal were disclosed by the two companies on Friday afternoon. The deal is set to close in the fourth quarter of 2018.
